Pueblo West Brush Fire

November 20th, 2017 around 14:45 Pueblo West Fire Department was dispatched to a brush fire near the 900-Blk of Saxony Drive. The caller reported vegetation on fire behind the apartments and spreading rapidly. Crews arrived on scene to find about an acre on fire spreading to the east with moderate winds out of the West. Several power poles and power boxes were threatened because of the flames. Crews made a quick attack and had the fire knocked down shortly. Pueblo West Fire slated the fire was started by juveniles playing with a lighter. No buildings were damaged and no one was injured and the fire was held to roughly an acre.
