South Adams Rubbish Fire

For the second time in as many months, firefighters from the South Adams County Fire Department and Adams County Fire Rescue were dispatched to a rubbish fire at the Waste Management Denver Disposal and Recycling Transfer Station, 6091 Brighton Boulevard on July 17, 2017. Firefighters arrived on scene within minutes and found heavy fire coming from the mounds of rubbish. Two aerial streams were set up to douse and drench the area.
