Brighton House Fire
On April 12th, 2018 at 11:50 Brighton Fire Rescue District was dispatched to a structure fire in the 25700 block of Green Dr. Upon arrival smoke and flames were visible from outside of the single-story home. Crews set-up tender operations and battled the fire for close to three hours before it was under control. Firefighters were on scene for several hours until the evening with an extensive overhaul. The home was a total loss and no injuries but two cats did not survive the fire. A marijuana grow operation was found in the basement of the home. The cause is under investigation by Brighton Fire and Adams County Sheriff’s Office. American Red Cross was requested to assist the occupants. Mutual-aid was requested from Fort Lupton Fire Protection District, South Adams County Fire Department, Hudson Fire Protection District, Southeast Weld County Fire Protection District, North Metro Fire Rescue District and Bennett-Watkins Fire Rescue.
