Elbert Fire Protection District held a grand opening for Station 233 on October 20th, 2018.  Community members were invited out to tour the station, meet with firefighters, check out the apparatus and enjoy lunch.  The new station, located at 702 County Rd. 98, will help cover the western side of the district.   The station currently houses an Engine 233 and Brush 233, both are former Elizabeth Fire Rescue.  The department hopes to add an ambulance to the station in the future as well as a tender from the Franktown Fire Protection District.
