Grand Junction Vehicle Fire

At 01:55 on August 25th, 2018 Grand Junction Fire Department Engine 2 was dispatched to a working motor vehicle fire in the 700 block of Teller Ave. Engine 2 was in the area on other calls and was first on scene at 02:02. Engine 2 found a single dodge pick-up truck in the driveway fully involved. Engine 2 called Teller Command, in the offensive strategy and requested a TAC Channel. Dispatch upgraded the assignment prior to FD arrival with PD on scene which filled in the balance for a full structure response. Units were assigned TAC 1 and were requested to continue in code 3 for multiple exposures. Engine 3 and Battalion 1 staged at 9th and Teller for the hydrant. PD evacuated the structure prior to Engine 2 arrival. With fire under control Engine 2 requested the assignment be held to the first and second due engine at 02:06. Knockdown was called at 02:07 and Battalion 1 and Medic 1 were requested in for investigation.

Working Assignment: Engine 3, Engine 4, Ambulance 2, Battalion 1

Special Call: Medic 1(Fire Investigation)
