At 23:42 on May 25th, 2018 Pleasant View Fire Department responded to a burn victim at 16515 W. 12th Dr. in Golden. Arriving crews found a injured party with server burns from a hash oil explosion, and was transported to a local hospital by AMR. Command on scene advised that heavy smoke was showing from the eves of a 1-story structure and requested a full structure fire response with auto-aid from Golden Fire Department and Fairmount Fire Protection District. Engine 41 worked the explosion in the basement, Engine 21 arrived and was assigned to pull a crosslay to the front door, and Engine 21 pulled a preconnect 1 3/4 line to the Alpha side front door. Engine 31 arrived on scene and was assigned utilities and RIT. West Metro Fire Rescue was also requested for a Haz-Mat response due to the hash oil. The incident is under investigation and no other injuries were reported.
