Strasburg Large Brush Fire

At 13:23 on April 20th, 2019 MetCom dispatched Strasburg Fire Protection District along with the I-70 corridor to a large brush fire in the 11800 block of Vickiview St. Brush 81 arrived to a low fuel medium size brush fire about 5 acres and spreading, and started fast attack on the fire. Chief 91 arrived and assumed command, and assigned Brush Engine 91 to the west flank of the fire and Brush Engine 71 to the north flank. Tender 91 setup with water supply with Tender 71, and Brush 3932 worked the south flank. Crews got the fire contained at 14:01 and started working on hot spots and overhaul, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
