West Metro Commercial Fire

At 13:02 on July 23rd, 2020 JeffCom dispatched West Metro Fire Rescue to a possible commercial structure fire at SpringHill Suites, 1315 Colorado Mills Parkway in Lakewood. Lakewood Police officers arrived on scene and started evacuations of the building. District 1 arrived on scene with Engine 6, Engine 2 & Engine 41 to a large four-story hotel with nothing showing. Engine 6 reported smoke showing inside with no active fire on the first floor. Engine 41 secured the water supply and pulled a 1 3/4 line to the Alpha-Delta corner with Engine 2, and Tower 2 assigned to the 2nd floor to check for extension and to the roof. Crews found a small fire in the laundry room with no extension.
