Denver Garage Fire

On January 19th, 2021 at 19:57 Denver Fire Department responded to reports of smoke and fire from a garage in the 4500 block of Zuni St. in Sunnyside. Engine 7 arrived to a fully involved detached garage, and laying the water supply from W. Scott Pl. and Zuni St. to the alley. With Chief 6 in command, Truck 12 arrived and was assigned to search the living quarters above the garage as Truck 4 made force entry to the garage. Tower 9 assigned as RIT and Engine 17 provided an attack line from the Alpha side with Engine 12 laying behind Engine 7. Primary and secondary searches were completed and negative. Fire was knocked and controlled with no reported injuries. Positive pressure ventilation was provided and no extension was found. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
