Fairmount Brush Fire

On June 9th, 2021 at 13:18 Fairmount Fire Protection District with mutual-aid from Golden Fire Department and Pleasant View Fire Department responded to a brush fire on W. 32nd Ave. west of McIntyre St. by Coors in Golden. Jeffcom (Central Fire Dispatch (CNF) advised multiple callers and Jefferson County Sheriff on scene reporting 10×10 fire, possibly from an exploded transformer and spreading. Battalion 30 en route requested Xcel to the scene. Jeffcom updated units that Jeffco deputies reporting the fire now 20×40 heading up the hill to South Table Mountain, and closing down W. 32nd Ave. at McIntyre St. Battalion 30 arrived on scene and assigned Engine 31 to start fire attack off W. 32nd Ave. with Brush 31. Engine 33 established a water supply from the Coors malt house, and Brush 32 arrived and assisted with hose lines and fire attack. Chief 33 arrived and assigned as safety. Crews got the fire under control and contained at 14:00 and started working on hot spots and overhaul. Additional information provided by Fairmount Fire Protection District
