North Metro Fire Rescue District held an open house on December 10th, 2022 for the newly rebuilt Station 61 at 1275 Midway Blvd. in Broomfield. The station was rebuilt after the demolition of the old Station 61 in 2021. North Metro Fire Chief David Ramos kicked off the open house event with brief remarks and then followed by guided tours, hot chocolate, and holiday activities were given to community members. As part of the festivities, the fire district hosted a toy drive, all toys that were collected were donated to A Precious Child and local families who need an extra helping hand this holiday season. Station 61 was originally built in 1956 as the West Adams County Fire Department. For more information on upcoming events, check out the 5280Fire Calendar.
