East 56th Ave Water Rescue
On June 23rd, 2023 at approximately 13:10 Aurora Fire Rescue and Bennett-Watkins Fire Rescue were dispatched to a water rescue in the area of E. 56th Ave. and N. Hudson Rd. Bennet Battalion Chief 91 found one person stuck in a vehicle in the water along N. Hudson. About the same time Aurora Engine 16 found an adult male and juvenile female stuck in an SUV in the water along E. 56th Ave. Additional swift water rescue resources were requested from South Metro Fire Rescue and the Denver Fire Department. Crews were on scene about two hours and were able to rescue all three occupants from both vehicles.
