Aurora Structure Fire

On October 10th, 2023 at approximately 19:03 Aurora Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire in the 2225 N. Geneva St. Aurora Police arrived to the scene of a heavy fire from a single-family residence with an individual at the front door with weapons. Engine 1 was first due engine charging a supply line but withholding attack until the scene was clear by Aurora Police Officers. Crews were advised to withdraw from the scen by incident command to coordinate with APD for scene safety. The individual was later apprehended by APD and transported for medical evaluation. Fire attack was performed to the structure without any extensions. Overhaul was completed with negative secondary search. No other injuries were reported and the fire cause is under investigation.
