On February 17th, 2023 at 01:03 Boulder County Communications (1800) dispatched Boulder Rural Fire Rescue to a smoke investigation in the area of 61st St. & Valmont Rd. Engine 2301 arrived and started the investigation in the area. Engine 2301 found a working fire at the Life Storage, 5815 Arapahoe Ave. in the City of Boulder and a Fill The Box (FTB) was requested. Crews worked heavy fire. Battalion 2570 arrived and took command in the offensive strategy. Firefighters worked the fire for several hours before getting it under control and starting overhaul operations. The cause is under investigation and no injuries were reported.
