Boulder County Structure Fire

On August 3rd, 2023 around 21:07 Boulder County Communications (1800) dispatched Hygiene Fire Protection District, Lefthand Fire Protection District, Lyons Fire Protection District and Saint Vrain Rapid Intervention Team to a possible structure fire in the 7400 block of Nelson Rd. Dispatch advised of receiving multiple callers reporting a barn on fire in the area and 2861 requested additional tenders. Boulder County Sheriff deputies arrival and reported a fully engulfed large metal structure which was part of the Boulder County Parks & Open Space. Tender water shuttle operations were staged at the Clover Basin Reservoir. Crews were able to get the fire under control at 22:00 and started an extended overhaul.
