Elbert Residential Structure Fire

On December 12th, 2023 at approximately 23:00 Elbert Fire Protection District along with Peyton Fire Protection District, Franktown Fire Protection District, Falcon Fire Protection District, Black Forest Fire Protection District, Calhan Fire Protection District and Ellicott Fire Protection District responded to the 18000 block of Saddle Blanket Lane for a residential structure fire. Upon arrival the house was fully involved and despite all efforts the house was a total loss. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
