Hygiene Barn Fire

On March 9th, 2023 at 19:31 Boulder County Communications (1800) dispatched Hygiene Fire Protection District, Lefthand Fire Protection District, Lyons Fire Protection District & Saint Vrain Rapid Intervention Team to a possible barn on fire in the 6500 block of McCall Drive off Hwy. 66 (Ute Hwy). Engine 2803 arrived to a two-story barn with heavy fire showing and pulled 1 3/4 for defensive fire attack. Crews worked heavy fire conditions before getting the fire under control. Hwy. 66 was shut down in both directions during water shuttle operations. No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation by the MAFIT (Multi-Agency Fire Investigation Team).
