The recruit class 23-01 held their training that included “field day” in June of 2023 which is actually two full days of training, where the recruits ran back to back calls. They tackle structure and dumpster fires, medical calls, and vehicle crashes complete with volunteer actors wearing very realistic-looking makeup. It’s an opportunity to get a feel for what they’re going to experience once they’re “on line” (on duty). The recruits are from Arvada Fire Protection District, West Metro Fire Rescue and Castle Rock Fire Rescue.
This class 23-01 will graduate on June 15th, 2023 (Joint Recruit Academy Class 23-01 Graduation) . Additional information was provided by West Metro Fire Rescue
