Golden Brush Fire

On September 18th, 2024 at 14:19 Golden Fire Department Engine 24 was dispatched to a reported brush fire at 82 Heritage Rd. at W. Colfax Ave. Engine 24 arrived on scene and requested additional resources for a fast moving working brush fire. Chief 22 arrived, assumed command with 2 working brush fires around half an acre and requested West Metro with a water tender. Engine 41 arrived and started fire attack on the 2nd brush fire which was quickly controlled. The other fire was controlled within 50 munities. No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation. Fairmount Fire Protection District backfilled Station 21 for coverage. Additional information provided by Golden Fire Department
