South Metro Garage Fire

At 10:30 on April 7th, 2024 South Metro Emergency Communications Center dispatched South Metro Fire Rescue to the 4300 block of S. Himalaya Court in unincorporated Arapahoe County for a possible structure fire. Engine 23 arrived on scene and found fire showing from the attached garage for a multi-story single-family residence. Crews remained on scene for approximately an hour extinguishing the fire, checking for extension, and ventilating the building. No injuries were reported, and the majority of the damage was limited to the garage. Cause of the fire is currently under investigation by South Metro Fire Rescue.
