West Metro Deck Fire

At 10:49 on July 2nd, 2024 West Metro Fire Rescue responded to a possible structure fire in the 1300 block of S. Eaton St. in Lakewood. Jeffcom advised multiple callers reporting fire on the back deck of the home and Tower 8 enroute reported a header of smoke in the air. Engine 8 arrived to a small single-family residential with smoke from the roof and pulled 1 3/4 attack line and secured their own water supply with Medic 8. Tower 8 arrived and started the primary search and Engine 3 pulled a 2nd line in. The fire was put under control quickly on the back deck and firefighters kept the fire from extending into the home with only minor smoke inside. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation. Additional information provided by West Metro Fire Rescue
