
Federal Heights Rampart Street Structure Fire
Federal Heights Defensive Fire
On November 17th, 2025 at 06:51 Federal Heights Fire Department with Westminster Fire Department, North Metro Fire Rescue District, Thornton Fire Department and Adams County Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire in the 900 block of Rampart St. in Federal Heights. Engine 41 arrived to a single-story mobile structure partially engulfed on the Charlie side and started fire control and the primary search with Medic 41. Engine 41 secured their own water supply and Battalion 2 arrived and assumed command with defensive operations and requested additional resources to the scene. Crews worked heavy fire that spread to a neighboring mobile home. Engine 2 arrived and assigned to secure their own water supply on Mandel St. and pull attack line in to the Charlie side. Engine 72 pulled attack line off Engine 41 to the Delta structure for protection and Truck 2 pulled a line off Engine 2. Crews worked heavy fire from the roof and Truck 2 put the stick up for master stream operations with Truck 62. The fire was put under control and crews worked an extensive overhaul on hot spots and the investigation. All occupants were accounted for and no injuries were reported. Several pets were rescued and a litter of five domestic kittens that was reported living under one of the structures was not found. The cause is under investigation.
