Denver Defensive Gas Station Fire
On March 19th, 2026 at 11:29 Denver Fire Department responded to a reported commercial structure fire with explosions at the Shell Gas Station, 510 Bryant St. Crews arrived to a fully involved gas station with victims and explosions which went into defensive operations. Two individuals that were inside were transported by Denver Health Paramedics with burn injuries. Several master stream operations were deployed and attack lines. Extensive damage was created by the explosions and partial collapse of the building. Glass and debris were blown across Bryant St. at approximately 80-100 feet from the storefront, and a small refrigerator was also blown approximately 40 feet from the store front as well. Multiple witnesses reported hearing a single explosion, which sounded like a large auto accident. Shortly after several witnesses exited their buildings, a second set of multiple explosions took place. Other witnesses stated that the second blast, shook the nearby buildings they were working in. The cause of the explosion was a natural gas leak at the gas station. Additional information provided by Denver Fire Department
