Station 5 – Mount Vernon
Fire Station 5 was located at 25191 Aspen Way at Mount Vernon Country Club and was loaned by Mount Vernon Metro District. The station consisted of two bays and storage within Mount Vernon’s maintenance building. It was the former Mount Vernon Fire Protection District Fire Station. The station closed effective January 1st, 2022.
WILDLAND 1
1970 AM General 2 1/2 Ton Type 6 6×6 with a 125 GPM pump, 1,000-gallon water tank, and foam. Loaned by the Colorado State Forest Service. Also ran as Wildland Engine 571 became Brush 555.
ENGINE 4
1986 International S1800 4×4 / General Safety (8190W) with a 1,000 GPM pump, 550-gallon tank, and foam. Former Lookout Mountain Fire Protection District Engine 31 and became Engine 534.
ENGINE 534
1986 International S1800 4×4 / General Safety (8190W) with a 1,000 GPM pump, 550-gallon tank, and foam. Former Engine 4 and relocated to Station 4 upon closure of the station.
BRUSH 552
Ford 4×4. Relocated to Station 1 upon closure of the station.
BRUSH 555
1970 AM General 2 1/2 Ton Type 6 6×6 with a 125 GPM pump, 1,000-gallon water tank, and foam. Loaned by the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control (DFPC). Returned to the DFPC upon closure of the station.
