Station 3 – Lakewood

Fire Station 3 is located at 95 Garrison Street, built in 1991, and renovated in 2013. Station 3 is bordered by the following areas: Colfax Avenue to the north, Mississippi Avenue to the south, Wadsworth Boulevard to the east, and Quail Street to the west. The area includes the RTD light rail line, 6th Ave, and the neighborhoods of Glennon Heights, Lakewood Heights, Lakewood Acres, Lakewood Village, Sun Valley Estates, Villa West, Belmar Gardens, West Alameda Heights, and Bonvue. This is the former site of the Lakewood-Mountair Fire Department (Colorado) Station 3 and rebuilt at the same location in 1991 as the Lakewood Fire Department (Colorado) Station 3.

Fire Station 3 is shown here at the current location on Garrison St. and built in 1991, and a renovated in 2013. This is the former Lakewood-Bancroft Fire Protection District (Colorado) Station 493 and Lakewood Fire Department (Colorado) Station 3. This station was originally built at the same location in 1954 as part of the Lakewood-Mountair Fire Protection District (Colorado) and completely rebuilt by Lakewood/Bancroft Fire Authority in 1991.

This engine also ran as Lakewood Fire Department (Colorado) Engine 93, Engine 4 and Lakewood-Bancroft Fire Protection District (Colorado) Engine 3.
