Golden Vehicle Into Creek

At 01:50 on January 4th, 2025 Jeffcom dispatched Golden Fire Department and Pleasant View Fire Department responded to a reported vehicle into the creek at 29060 Hwy. 6 in the Clear Creek Canyon west of Tunnel # 2. Crews arrived to find a single-vehicle in clear creek with it’s lights on and entered the water to check for injures. Battalion 21 requested Arvada Fire Protection District for a swift water response to assist with a potential water rescue. Crews searched the water for any victims and no occupants were located in the vehicle or in the area. The canyon was shut down in both directions during the incident.
