White Hawk Fire
On July 22nd, 2025 at 13:49 Jeffcom 911 dispatched Elk Creek Fire Protection District and Conifer Fire Protection District responded to a reported wildland fire at 14067 White Hawk Trail by Reynolds Park in the Elk Creek Fire District. Crews arrived to about an one acre fire creeping in steep terrain through ponderosa, juniper and oak brush. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office helicopter was requested, which made several water drops and a fireline was put around the fire. Crews monitored the fire through the night and the fire was 100% containment in the evening of July 23rd, 2025 and the fire burned 1.8 acres. A lightning strike was the caused the fire.
