Highway 7 Trapped MVA

On September 21st, 2012 at 15:51 Lafayette Fire Department & Mountain View Fire Rescue were dispatched to Hwy. 7 and County Line Rd. on a injury accident. Engine 2601 & Medic 2621 arrived to find 2 cars with heavy damage. Engine 2601 reported that extrication would be needed, and after an assessment of the vehicle in the ditch, command called for North Metro Fire Rescue District Heavy Rescue 66 to the scene. One SUV had 1 patient that suffered minor injuries and the second car in the ditch had 1 patient pinned in the vehicle. After a lengthy and complicated extrication the patient was airlifted by North Colorado Med Evac from Erie Airport. Additional information provided by Lafayette Fire Department
