Kellytown House Fire
Cora Street House Fire
At 19:42 on November 16th, 2018 South Metro Fire Rescue and several mutual aid partners battled a fully engulfed house fire on Cora St. in Kellytown, located near Hwy. 85 and Louvires Ave.. First arriving Engine 40 observed flames coming all the doors and windows and began fire suppression. The area has limited water supply available so fire “Tenders” were used to transport water from the nearest hydrant to the fire scene. Firefighters confirmed that no one was in the burning structure and used a defensive strategy to battle the flames from the outside. No injuries occurred and crews prevented the fire from spreading to neighboring structures. The cause remains under investigation.
