On Thursday January 17th, 2019 Eagle River Fire Protection District held a station dedication ceremony at Station 12, 1050 Edwards Village Blvd. located directly next to Eagle County Paramedics Edwards Station. The old station was demolished over the past year to make room for the new building. The new station is home to the district chief and hazmat team. The new station was outfitted with a work-out area, decontamination room(accessible from the exterior) complete with a shower and washer. The station also features long bays to accommodate additional apparatus in the future, Battalion Chief Suite, administrative offices and a 3 story training center with ability to perform rope rescue training between the station and training tower. The station was placed into service with a hose un-coupling and dispatch tones placing all station units in service. All engine crews on-duty had the opportunity to attend the ceremony while still responding to emergencies in their areas. The new station allows crews to cut down response times to calls in the Edwards and Cordillera areas as well as I-70.

Station 12 is now home to:

Battalion Chief 12, Engine 12, Brush 12, Hamer 12

Chief 12, Chief 12-1, Training 12, Prevention 12, Prevention 12-1, Prevention 12-2, and Prevention 12-3.
