On November 26th, 2019 at 15:45 JeffCom 911 dispatched Pleasant View Fire Department with Golden Fire Department and AMR to a report of an unknown injury accident on I-70 eastbound at W. Colfax Ave. While Engine 41 was enroute, JeffCom updated units stating that a truck was dangling off a bridge. Engine 41 requested a rescue from Golden and West Metro Fire Rescue. Engine 41 and Medic 22 arrived on scene to find a pickup truck with a camper, and the front axle hanging off the bridge, Engine 41 took command and completed a full closure of eastbound I-70. Engine 6 was assigned traffic safety and assisted with blocking the highway. Truck 24 responded and blocked W. Colfax Ave. underneath the truck. After the single occupant was removed from the vehicle, a heavy wrecker was requested. Tower 2 was requested to assist with the recovery operation. No injuries were reported.
