Henderson Garage Fire

At 15:44 on September 2nd, 2019 South Adams County Fire Department responded to a house fire at 11250 Florence St. in Henderson. Adcom advised that they were receiving multiple 911 calls heavy fire showing from a garage. Engine 27 arrived to a 3-story townhome with a working fire in the garage, and secured their own water supply in the offensive strategy. Engine 27 stretched a cross-lay and began with fire attack, and Battalion 21 requested a 2nd alarm. Crews worked heavy fire and the vehicle fully involved inside. Truck 24 set-up for aerial ops and pulled a line off Engine 27 to the Bravo side. Crews got the fire extinguished and under control quickly, and started an extended overhaul. Crews worked with 100 temperature during the fire. No reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
