Bennett Grass Fire

On July 18th, 2020 at 09:20 Bennett-Watkins Fire Rescue and the I-70 Corridor Fire to a grass fire on S. Manilla Rd. just north of E. Quincy Ave. Firefighters arrived on scene and quickly extinguished the blaze just south of a local oil derrick and storage tanks. Crews remained on scene for about an hour mopping up hot spots. No injuries were reported.
