At approximately 11:55 on December 16th, 2020 Clifton Fire Protection District was dispatched for a two-vehicle unknown injury crash at 31 Road and F ½ Road. Grand Junction Regional Communication Center advised of at least one vehicle that rolled and was on its side with persons still trapped. Chief 22 arrived on-scene reporting a two vehicle MVA with one vehicle that rolled into a nearby field with occupants still trapped inside and established command, requesting one additional ambulance, 3rd in as mutual-aid, and non-emergent for additional patients. Rescue 21 arrived on scene and began stabilizing the rolled vehicle. Ambulance 21 and Ambulance 22 arrived simultaneously and began evaluating patients for transport. Chief 21 arrived and assisted with scene operations and command. Grand Junction Fire Department Ambulance 2 arrived from the city and staged for transport. Patient(s) extricated from the second vehicle were transported to nearby medical centers with unknown injuries. Ambulance 2 was picked-up on scene and both Clifton ambulances transported. The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office assisted with traffic control on F ½ Road and CSP took over investigation.
