Clifton Chimney Fire

At approximately 12:00 on February 20th, 2020 the Clifton Fire Protection District was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire in the area 3400 F ¾ Rd. Engine 21 and Truck 21 enroute requested an additional engine from Palisade Fire Protection District due to the proximity to the Town of Palisade and water supply. Engine 21 arrived to a two-story residential structure with a working fire and established F ¾ Rd. command in the offensive strategy. Chief 21 arrived on scene and assumed command. Engine 21 was able to locate the fire in the casing of the chimney and extinguished with an 1 ¾ handline from the roof. Fire was confined to the chimney and chimney casing and no residents were displaced.
