At 09:54 on February 20th, 2020 JeffCom alerted Evergreen Fire Rescue to a structure fire in the 7500 block of Gartner Rd. in the North Turkey Creek area. Crews arrived to a fully involved three-story walk out basement residential with heavy fire showing from the Alpha-Bravo sides and started defensive strategy. The fire was upgraded to a 2nd alarm with the area not served by any fire hydrants, and water tenders and additional resources were requested with water shuttle operations from Inter-Canyon Fire Protection District, Elk Creek Fire Protection District, Indian Hills Fire Protection District & Foothills Fire Protection District. In all, some 30 firefighters and 10 trucks were on the scene. Crews got the fire extinguish and started an extensive overhaul with hot spots. No injuries and the homeowners made it out safely.
