At 09:47 on January 28th, 2020 Florissant Fire Protection District responded to a head-on vehicle accident on Hwy. 24 just one mile west of Florissant Station 1 with mutual-aid from Divide Fire Protection District and Lake George Fire Protection District. Crews arrived to a a two-vehicle accident on Hwy. 24 between Stohl Rd. & County Rd. 46 in Florissant with one trapped party, and started an extended extrication and request a medical chopper go. Hwy. 24 was shut down in both directions for several hours. One patient was transported by ground and one by air with unknown injuries.
