Smoky Hill Road Commercial Fire

On March 10th, 2021 at approximately 19:00 South Metro Fire Rescue and Aurora Fire Rescue were dispatched to a reported commercial structure fire at the United States Post Office at 18555 E. Smoky Hill Rd. Units arrived on scene within minutes of the call and found burning wires in the ceiling above the lobby. Firefighters were able to quickly neutralize the hazard and spent about 30 minutes on scene ventilating the lobby and checking the roof. The rest of the response was cancelled.
