Golden Structure Fire

At 09:21 on November 17th, 2023 Golden Fire Department, Fairmount Fire Protection District, Pleasant View Fire Department and Stadium Medical responded to a possible structure fire in the 1400 block of Lou’s Loop at Jesse Lane in Golden. Jeffcom advised that 911 caller reporting possible chimney fire with smoke inside the structure. Golden Police officers arrived with all occupants evacuated out of the structure. Engine 21 arrived on scene to a medium size two-story single-family residential with light smoke showing from the Charlie side and pulled a line to the front door. Battalion 30 arrived and assumed command on the Alpha side and assigned Medic 21 with medical. Engine 32 secured the water supply from Engine 21 to the hydrant and Truck 24 went to the roof. Command requested additional engine to the scene. The fire was contained and crews worked on overhaul. No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation.
