Pleasant View Semi Accident

On December 8th, 2023 at 10:54 Pleasant View Fire Department, Golden Fire Department and Stadium Medical responded to a reported accident on westbound I-70 under C-470 involving a Semi. Jeffcom advised that 911 callers reporting a possible two-vehicle with a semi that hit the C-470 underpass. Engine 41 and Medic 22 arrived to westbound I-70 at mile marker 260 with a semi that was wedge under the bridge and started the investigation. The semi was hauling a portable trailer on a flat bed which struck the underpass the bridge of C-470. All lanes were closed on I-70 westbound for several hours and no injuries were reported. The Colorado Department of Transportation was also on scene evaluating the bridge and found that only the outside edge was damage. The westbound lanes on C-470 will remain closed until the repairs are done in the area of the damage of the bridge. Additional information was provided by Pleasant View Fire Department
