Longmont Francis Street 2nd Alarm Fire
Longmont 2nd Alarm Fire

On February 26th, 2023 at 17:07 Longmont Emergency Communication Center (LECC) dispatched Longmont Fire Department to the 1200 block of Francis St. for a carport fire near a multi-family apartment dwelling. As the battalion chief went arrival, they requested a 2nd alarm response as the fire had extended to the residences and was moving quickly. The fire was contained at 19:23. American Red Cross was requested for displaced residents. No injuries were reported but several pets did not survive the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Louisville Fire Protection District and Boulder Fire Rescue Department also were called in for backfilling the district. Additional information and photos by Chris Rodgers / Code 10 Photography
