East Quincy Road Vegetation Fire

On December 14th, 2024 at approximately 14:30 Bennett-Watkins Fire Rescue was dispatched to a reported vegetation fire on E. Quincy Rd. near the intersection with S. Manilla Rd. Smoke from the fire could be seen from Bennett and east Aurora. Additional departments from the I-70 East corridor was requested. Crews were on scene over two hours extinguishing the fire and mopping up hot spots. No injuries were reported and the cause is believed to be from the hot undercarriage of a vehicle driving off road.
