Manilla Road Grass Fire

On March 24th, 2024 at approximately 14:15 Bennett-Watkins Fire Rescue was dispatched to a grass fire on the southwest corner of S. Manilla Rd. and E. County Rd. 6. Bennett-Watkins units arrived on scene, found a large grass fire spreading quickly due to the wind and called for assistance from neighboring departments. Units were on scene about two and a half hours extinguishing the fire an mopping up hot spots. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
