On September 28th, 2025 the High Plains Honor Flight held an escort of heroes of 120 veterans that traveled to Washington, D.C. for an Honor Flight trip from The Ranch in Loveland to the Northern Colorado Regional Airport. The community with fire departments and other lined the route to honor the heroes with public support. The High Plains Honor Flight is a nonprofit organization that takes a group of veterans to the War Memorials in Washington D.C. each year. Some of the departments in attendance: Loveland Fire Rescue Authority, Windsor-Severance Fire Rescue, Glen Haven Area Volunteer Fire Department, Front Range Fire Rescue, Greeley Fire Department, Platte Valley Fire Protection District, Platteville-Gilcrest Fire Protection District, Poudre Fire Authority, Evans Fire Protection District, Wellington Fire Protection District, UC Health LifeLine, Colorado State Patrol, Loveland Police Department with numerous other northern Colorado law enforcement agencies.
