
Parker Desert Wine Lane Brush Fire
South Metro Brush Fire
Just after 11:45 on July 25th, 2026 South Metro Fire Rescue was dispatched to an outside fire near Desert Wine Lane at Russell Trail in Parker. While Brush 43 was responding, they could see a fire burning in heavy fuels and upgraded the call to a large brush fire. When crews from SMFR and Franktown Fire arrived on scene, they determined the fire was threatening multiple homes on Desert Wine Lane and began structure protection and fire attack. With help from the Douglas County – Government Helitack Unit, firefighters contained the fire to approximately one acre.
Once the fire was under control, crews spent several hours extinguishing hotspots and performing mop-up. No structures were damaged, and no injuries were reported. The cause is under investigation by the South Metro Fire Marshal’s Office. Information provided by South Metro Fire Rescue
