West Metro Structure Fire

At 12:41 on July 5th, 2018 West Metro Fire Rescue responded to a possible structure fire at W. 9th Ave & Harlan St. with 911 caller reporting smoke in the backyard. Engine 1 arrived to a fence on fire starting in the brush, and pulled a line in for fire attack, Engine 3 arrived and established a water supply to Engine 1. Crews pulled a second line in for structure protection with a power pole on fire with wires down. Lakewood Police Department closed down Harlan St. and Xcel was called to the scene. Crews got the fire out quickly without any fire to the structures. No injuries were reported and the fire is under investigation.
