Golden Fallen Climber Rescue

On November 14th, 2025 Jeffcom 911 dispatched Golden Fire Department and Stadium Medical to a backcountry rescue with a report of a climber who had fallen near Tunnel 2 on Hwy. 6. Units arrived on scene and made contact with the patient. Due to the technical nature of the rescue, mutual-aid was requested from Arvada Fire Protection District to assist with the rescue. The patient was lowered down multiple pitches and the attached to the bucket on Tower 21. Medic 21 transported the patient to a local hospital in serious condition.
