Windsor North Shores Circle Garage Fire
Windsor Garage Fire
At 13:39 on December 11th, 2012 Windsor-Severance Fire Rescue was dispatched to a report of a car on fire in a garage at 316 N. Shores Circle. Upon arrival, at 1:44 p.m., crews found the garage door was up and one car was fully engulfed in flames and the other car was also on fire. Flames were rolling out the front of the garage and lapping up on the front of the house. One crew knocked down the fire in the garage while another crew made entry through the front door with a charged hose line to keep any fire extension from spreading into the house. After the fire was knocked down, crews checked for extension into the attic and found none. Both residents were home at the time and evacuated the house as soon as they realized there was a fire. There were no civilian nor fire personnel injuries. The fire started somewhere in the engine compartment of one of the cars. The garage and cars in the garage sustained extensive damage. The interior of the house received mostly smoke and water damage. The door between the house and the garage was open, so there is some damage to the interior of the house, but nothing as extensive as the garage. Loveland Fire Rescue Authority Engine 6 and two WSFR firefighters back-filled Station 1 until WSFR trucks could be freed up.
