Boulder Rural Structure Fire
At 23:36 on January 12th, 2018 Boulder Rural Fire Rescue was toned for a working multi-family structure fire at 7471 Singing Hills Drive Building F with CPR In Progress as well. This address was located in the auto-aid area which brought several Boulder County agencies together for this fire. Engine 2301 and Battalion 2352 reported a two story, multi-family structure with a working fire on the back side lower apartment. Further investigation revealed the fire had spread from its original room, out into the porch and caught the upstairs balcony on fire which spread to the exterior and attic space. Two victims were pulled from the fire by the upstairs neighbor prior to Engine 2301’s arrival. Boulder Engine 2506 was second in behind 2301 and assisted in a combination fire attack from the interior and exterior. Crews were met with heavy fire and it was reported all occupants had evacuated. The fire was knocked within 20 minutes of arrival and overhaul was started by all incoming units. Lafayette Battalion 2660 was assigned as Safety. Four units were without power until further notice and crews escorted some residents for immediate needs. A Boulder Rural Fire Investigator and Boulder County Sheriff Fire Investigator were called into the scene. The fire was initially noticed by the upstairs neighbor who witnessed smoke coming from under his stairwell. American Red Cross was called in to assist. The fire remains under investigation
