2nd Alarm Structure Fire
At 14:15 on June 26th, 2018 Thornton Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 4462 E. 121st Way with mutual-aid from Westminster Fire Department. Engine 75 & Medic 75 arrived on scene to a single-story structure with a working fire on the Alpha-Delta corner garage with fire extending into the house. Engine 75 pulled a pre-connect for exterior fire attack with an offensive strategy. Medic 75 pulled a 2nd hand line off Engine 75 to the Alpha side. Truck 74 arrived and made an aggressive interior attack and started primary search. Medic 74 established a water supply, and a second alarm was requested with heavy fire conditions but was cancelled as crews were able to get the fire under control quickly. Medic 71 arrived and was assigned as Medical, and the fire was put under control within 15 minutes. North Metro Fire Rescue District & Adams County Fire Rescue responded on the 2nd alarm. The fire is under investigation, and no reported injuries, except for two parties that were treated for smoke inhalation on scene.
